In spite of its health benefits, not many use raw papaya in cooking though it is very delicious. Today we will learn how to make green papaya stir fry following this easy recipe with step wise pictures.
Raw Papaya Stir Fry

Raw Papaya - 4 cups grated
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt needed
For Grinding
Fresh Coconut - 1/3 cup grated
Green chilli - 1
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
For the Seasoning
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli - 1
Curry leaves - a sprig

Preparations
Peel the skin, discard the seeds and grate papaya.
Grind cumin seeds, green chilli and grated coconut just for a second without adding water.
Method
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
When dal turns golden brown, add the grated raw papaya and turmeric powder.
Sprinkle water and cook covered, stirring from time to time.
Once cooked, add salt needed and the ground coconut mixture. Mix well and cook covered for a few more seconds.
Enjoy healthy and delicious green papaya stir fry with rice.
