Coconut Chutney and Idly faces

This recipe is so common and is prepared in almost all South Indian homes at least once in a week. But I still wanted to post this, mainly for the sake of the new ones to the kitchen. But to make this boring chutney post more interesting, I have given suggestions and tips on getting children to eat healthy foods. Kindly let me know if you all liked this, so that I can rake my brains and come up with more such posts.

Creative Ways to serve idli for kids

Some creative ways to make kids eat healthy food. Do you know that idli is one of the best breakfast in the world. It is healthy as it is fermented and steam cooked.

You can make different shapes, faces out of idles as I have done above. Use edible stuffs to decorate the idli like raisins, almonds, cashews, chocolate chips, grated carrot or beetroot for hair, tomato for mouth etc. It is all left to your imagination. Let your little one also lend a hand in decorating it.

You can mix tomato chutney in a little idli batter and make red/pink idlis.

Mix green chutney to a little batter ( mint, coriander chutney) to make green idlys. Kids love anything colorful and different.

Try the tips above and I am sure you will not have any trouble in getting your kids eat healthy food.
