Nellikai Thayir Pachadi-Amla-Gooseberry Raita Recipe

   Ingredients needed

   Gooseberry – 5
   Green chilli – 1
   Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
   Curd/Yogurt – 1 cup (plain)
   Salt as needed
   Roasted jeera/cumin powder -a generous pinch (optional)

  For the seasoning

   Oil -1 tsp
   Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
   Curry leaves -few

Preparation

Cut gooseberries into small pieces and discard the seeds.

Method

Grind gooseberries, green chilli and coconut together with very less water.

Then mix curd and needed salt to it.

Heat a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when mustard splutters, add curry leaves and pour it over the pachadi. Sprinkle freshly roasted cumin powder and serve it. I prefer this with curd rice.
