Chikoo Milkshake

Sapodilla also known as sapote or chikoo is rich in vitamins, minerals and many health benefiting antioxidants. It is rich in dietary fiber and helps to relieve constipation. It contains antioxidant vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin A which helps to protect against certain types of cancer. This milkshake needs only 3 ingredients and is super easy to prepare. You won’t be able to have just one glass!! Today we will learn how to make sapote/sapodilla milkshake following this easy recipe.

Since most of you will be familiar with this recipe, I have done some carvings on chikoo to add fun to the post and to keep you all entertained.

   Ingredients needed

   Chikoo pieces/sapodilla pieces – 1 cup
   Cold Milk – 1 1/2 cups (boiled and chilled)
   Powdered Sugar – 1 tsp or 1 tsp honey

Method

Peel the skin and discard the seeds of sapota.

Blend it with a little milk and sugar/honey.You can also use 2-3 dates instead of sugar or honey to make it more nutritious and tasty.

Then add the rest of the milk and blend everything together until smooth.

Serve chilled. Children will love this very much.

Always keep your pantry stocked with fruits of the season. When you feel hungry in-between meals, go ahead and have fruits. This will satisfy your hunger and prevent you from gorging on unhealthy foods.
