Easy Oats Porridge Recipe

Oats porridge recipe

 Prep Time : 5 mins

 Cook Time : 10 mins
 Serves: 1
 Recipe Category: Breakfast-Porridge-Oats
 Recipe Cuisine: Indian
 Author:Padhu Sankar

   Ingredients needed

Oats – 1/4 cup (I used saffola oats)
   Milk -3/4 cup
Powdered jaggery or brown sugar -1 tbsp
   Dates – 2 finely chopped
Almonds -2 blanched and slivered (optional)

Method

Combine oats with water (around 1/2-3/4 cup) and cook till it thickens. Keep stirring it to prevent it from forming lumps and getting burnt.

Add hot milk, powdered jaggery, chopped dates and almonds. Mix it well.

A perfect way to start your day! ( It will keep you full for 2-3 hours)

Variation -You can add berries or chopped dry fruits or freshly cut fruits as per your choice.
