Heat  oil and ghee in a pan.

When oil is hot, add a tsp of mustard seeds, red chilli, cashew nuts, asafoedita and curry leaves.

When cashew nuts start to change color, add onions and  green chillies.

Cook until onions turn transparent.

Add a tsp of ginger garlic paste and saute for few more minutes.

Add little salt for the onions to cook faster.

When onions change to light golden color, add tomato, turmeric powder, 3/4 tsp chilli powder or as needed and garam masala powder.

Cook until tomatoes soften.

Add peas fresh or frozen. ( if using fresh peas, cook it separately and then add).

Add the cabbage and cook covered on very low heat. Do not add water as the cabbage will get cooked in the oil added.

Stir in-between for even cooked. If needed you may add 1-2 tsps of water.

Once cabbage turns soft, add salt needed.

Add 3 cups of cooked rice and mix well. (you can use any rice – I have added cooked jeeraka samba rice)
