Onam Recipes-Onam Dishes-Onam Sadya Recipes

Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala (a state in India) is celebrated with great pomp and gaiety. It is celebrated for 10 days and is one of the biggest festival of Kerala. It marks the homecoming of legendary King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit the state at the time of Onam. Exotic Kaikottikali dance, snake boat race, ornately dressed elephants, elaborate feasts, intricate pookalam are all part of this festival.
