My Measuring Cups and Measuring Spoon

March 17, 2012 by PadhuSankar 21 Comments

I have been receiving many queries and emails about cup measurements. So I thought, I will post the measurements and the pictures of my measuring cups and spoons.

measuring cupsCup Measurements

1 cup = 250 ml
3/4 cup =175 ml
1/2 cup = 125 ml
1/3 cup = 75 ml
1/4 cup = 50 ml

Measuring spoonsSpoon Measurements

1 tbsp = 15 ml
1/2 tbsp = 7.5 ml
1 tsp = 5 ml
1/2 tsp = 2.5 ml
1/3 tsp =1.67 ml
1/4 tsp =1.25 ml

Hope this will be useful to many. These cups and spoons are easily available in most departmental stores and in all shops which sell baking supplies. In Chennai it is available in Waltax road.

Very helpful information. For we (Japanese) uses 1 cup=200cc and I was wondering if I could measure 200cc or 240, 250 when trying your recipe. Thank you!

There are many essence shops in waltax road. You get measuring cups and spoons in almost all the shops. I do not remember the name of the shop.
