Strawberries are rich in vitamins, minerals and low in calories.They are full of antioxidants. Antioxidants help to boost the immune system, reduce risk of cancer, heart disease and other inflammatory diseases. Strawberry milkshake is very easy to prepare and tastes delicious. Perfect for kids after they get back from school. Combined with banana, it makes a light breakfast. Today we will learn how to make strawberry milkshake following this easy recipe.

 Serves: 1

   Ingredients needed

   Strawberries – 3/4 cup chopped
   Cold milk (boiled and cooled) – 1 1/4 cup
   Sugar or honey to taste

Preparation


Remove the stem, wash and cut the strawberries into half.

Method


In a blender, add strawberries, milk, sugar/honey and blend until smooth.


Pour into a tall glass and serve chilled.

Variations


You can add a scoop of strawberry ice cream while blending to make it creamier.


You can add a small banana along with strawberries and blend it to make it more filling.

      Strawberries are high allergen food. As your baby has completed 2 years, you can give in small quantity.But I suggest that you consult your pediatrician about introducing strawberries.
