Corn Spinach Sandwich-Palak Corn Sandwich Recipe

These cheesy spinach corn sandwiches are very delicious and easy to make. You can have these for breakfast or even as an evening snack. I have used brown bread to make it healthy, though you can use any bread. Today we will learn how to make spinach corn sandwich following this very easy recipe with step wise pictures.

Corn Spinach Sandwich-Palak Corn Sandwich Recipe

   Ingredients needed

   Bread Slices- 8 (use any bread)
   Butter – 1 tbsp
   Onion – 1/4 cup chopped
   Garlic – 1 tbsp
   Sweet Corn – 1/2 cup
   Spinach – 1 cup finely chopped
   Cornflour or all purpose flour – 1 tbsp
   Cold Milk – 2-3 tbsp

   Salt to taste
   Pepper powder as needed
   Basil – 1/2 tsp
   Oregano – 1/2 tsp
   Chilli flakes – 1/2 tsp (optional)
   Grated cheese – 2 tbsp (optional)

   Butter for toasting bread

Preparation


Wash and chop spinach finely. Chop onion and garlic finely.

Method


Heat butter in a pan, add finely chopped onion and garlic. Saute until onions turn transparent.

Add corn and saute for a few more seconds.

Add spinach and cook until they wilt. Add salt as needed.

Corn Spinach Sandwich recipe-steps

Reduce the heat, add cornflour and mix well. Then add milk and cook stirring continuously. When it starts thickening, switch off the heat.

Add basil, oregano, pepper powder and chilli flakes (if using). Add grated cheese and mix well.

Spread the cheesy corn spinach mixture on the bread slices.

Cover it with another slice of bread. Butter the bread on the outside and toast on tawa or bread toaster until golden brown and serve hot.

Kids and adults alike will love this cheesy spinach corn sandwich. It does not need any side dish as it is very delicious as such.

    DearPadhu , tried your Penne Pasta in White Sauce. It turned out awesome. Now it's a hot favourite of any kid that visits us. My kids just go crazy. I wanted to share the pictures. How to share pictures here ? Can u kindly guide me please?

    Hi dear. I have used your recipe for chana pulao(where you add coconut milk as well. One of the best dishes I have ever made.
    Am trying this recipe today, though just might pop the dish in the oven, if the boys don't want it sandwiched in bread. Wel done and thank you!

    Will it be okay if I prepared the spinach corn filling tonight and use it tomorrow morning? No prob in storing the filling in refrigerator overnight?

      You can prepare the filling the previous night, store it in the refrigerator overnight and use it in the morning. No problem.
