Boondi Raita Recipe-Boondi Ka Raita

May 30, 2016 by PadhuSankar 1 Comment

Boondi Raita is very popular in North Indian and is very easy to make. It goes well with pulao, biryani, stuffed parathas, rotis or any other meal. I love to have this even as a snack. You can make boondi at home or use ready made boondi to make this raita. Today we will learn how to make boondi raita following this easy recipe.

 Prep Time : 10 mins

 Serves: 2
 Recipe Category: Side Dish
 Recipe Cuisine: North Indian
 Author:Padhu Sankar

   Ingredients needed

Boondi – 1 cup (refer how to make boondi)
Thick Curd/plain yogurt – 1 1/2 cup or as needed
   Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
   Roasted cumin powder -3/4 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp finely chopped
   Salt to taste

Method

Whisk curd until smooth.

Add half of the chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and mix well.

Add boondi (ready made boondi or homemade boondi), salt needed and mix well. Garnish with the remaining chilli powder, roasted cumin powder and finely chopped coriander leaves.

Serve chilled with any pulao, biryani or parathas.

You can prepare this 15-20 minutes before your meals and refrigerate it.

If you prefer crispy boondis, add boondi to the spiced yogurt before serving.
