Wonderchef Soup Maker Vegetable Soup-Carrot Tomato Bottlegourd Soup Recipe

November 27, 2017 by PadhuSankar 6 Comments

Wonderchef provides quality kitchen products including appliances, cookware, bakeware, knives, tools and other accessories handpicked by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. When I was contacted by Wonderchef asking me to review their soup maker, I had no idea about it. I was curious to use and try it, so accepted to review the product. I am glad I did as it has really made my life much easier and I am able to enjoy healthy homemade soups often.

About Wonderchef Automatic Soup Maker

It looks little bigger than a kettle. It occupies just a small space in the kitchen.

It has a large 1.6 litre capacity which is enough to make soups or smoothies for a family of four.

Wonderchef Automatic soup maker comes with four programmes – smooth soup, chunky soup, compote, smoothie and blend option without heating. Apart from soups, it also makes smoothies and milkshakes.

What I loved about the soup maker is that you just have to add any vegetables you love along with any seasonings of your choice, fill it with water up to the minimum/maximum level, close it and the soup will be ready in 20 minutes. It cooks, it blends, it purees. No need to monitor when it is making soup. So preparing soup is no more a time consuming or a messy work. So simple, hassle-free and effortless.

Moreover making our own soup at home has it advantages. You can add seasonings of your choice. You get to drink fresh homemade soup with no sugar, excess salt or any preservatives like store bought ones. You can also use all leftover veggies in the fridge, which might go waste otherwise.

On the health aspects, since the soup maker blends the soup, there is no need to strain, it retains all essential fibers inside your soup, making it healthier and tastier.

It comes with a 2 years warranty from the date of purchase.

Cons

On the downside side, there is no reheat or keep warm function. So if you are not consuming the soup immediately, you have to transfer the soup to another pan for reheating.

There is no sauté function. So in case, if you want to brown the onions or garlic, you may have to saute it separately and then add to the soup maker. Other than these, I loved the soup maker.

Let us see how to make a quick, healthy and delicious soup using the Wonderchef Automatic soup maker.

hi sis, can you advise me if banana stem soup can be made with this soup maker? It will really ease the time taken to strain the fibers. Kindly advise.

For banana stem, you have to remove all the fibers, chop it and then only add. Use tender banana stem.

Minimum is 1300 ml which will make 4 cups of soup. Maximum is 1600 ml. You have to add water or stock up to 1300 ml which is minimum. So you cannot make just 1 cup of soup.
