Papaya as we all know, is loaded with health benefits. Raw/green papaya is even more beneficial. It contains papain, a powerful enzyme that can greatly aid in the digestive process. Today we will learn how to make green papaya stir fry following this easy recipe with step wise pictures.
Peel the skin, discard the seeds and grate papaya.
Grind cumin seeds, green chilli and grated coconut just for a second without adding water.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal, red chilli and curry leaves.
When dal turns golden brown, add the grated raw papaya and turmeric powder.
Sprinkle water and cook covered, stirring from time to time.
Once cooked, add salt needed and the ground coconut mixture. Mix well and cook covered for a few more seconds.
Enjoy healthy and delicious green papaya stir fry with rice.
