Paruppu podi is a very simple and easy recipe that comes handy when we do not want to spend much time in cooking. You can make these podis in bulk during week ends and store it in air tight container. It is prepared with tur dal and usually served with hot rice and ghee. Learn how to make Paruppu Podi following this easy recipe.

 Prep Time : 5 mins

 Cook Time : 10 mins 
 Serves: 3-4

   Ingredients needed

   Tur dal – 1/3 cup
   Red chillies – 5
   Whole black pepper -1/4 tsp
   Salt to taste

Method


Dry roast dal till it turns golden brown in colour.

Then dry roast red chillies and pepper separately.

Dry grind everything together to a slightly coarse powder along with salt. Store it in an air tight container.

Serve it with hot steaming rice topped with a tsp ghee or sesame seed oil. All you need is a vegetable curry or papads to go along with it. Enjoy!!

Storage and Shelf Life – Store it in an air tight container at room temperature. It will stay fresh for more than a month.
