April 23, 2015 by PadhuSankar 3 Comments

Passion Fruit is an aromatic fruit with a slight sweet and tangy taste. When ripe they are yellow or purple in color depending on the variety. I was very much excited, when our driver handed me a bagful of passion fruits, saying that it grew in his house. Passion fruit is rich in fiber and protein. Passion fruit contains high amount of Vitamin A and Vitamin C, both are strong anti-oxidants. It protects from free radicals damage, prevents premature aging, protects against cancer and keeps your immune system strong. According to wiki fitness the soluble fiber in passion fruit cleanses toxin stored in the colon by facilitating healthy and regular bowel movement. Passion fruit is among those healthy foods that prove beneficial for eye. Passion fruit is also a good source of iron. The vitamin C in passion fruit helps our body absorb its iron content. It is also said to be an excellent coolant. Include passion fruit in moderation. Passion fruit pairs very well with orange juice. This passion fruit orange mint cooler is very delicious and refreshing. Learn how to make Orange mint passion fruit juice following this easy recipe.
