Muskmelon and  watermelon are available in plenty this season in the market. Melon juice is not only a great thirst quencher but also helps in weight loss.It has cooling properties which helps to reduce body heat, thereby preventing various related ailments. Today let us learn how to make musk melon juice following this easy recipe.

Cantaloupe Juice Recipe

Prep time – under 10 mins
Serves – 1

Ingredients needed

Half a musk melon (as seen in the picture)
Water -1/4 cup
Any sweetener of your choice- jaggery or honey preferable (If the fruit is ripe and sweet, you can skip this)

How to choose musk melon

Smell the fruit and see, if you get a nice musk melon smell, then the fruit is ripe.

If there is stem attached to it, then the fruit is unripe. Do not buy that.

Preparation

Cut the fruit into half, scoop out the seeds, peel the skin and chop it into cubes.

Method

Blend the chopped melon along with 1/4 cup of water to a smooth puree.

Pour it into a tall glass, add 2 ice cubes and serve chilled.

remove the seeds and skin of the fully ripen melon and crush through your hands add sugar or jaggery cold water and yellaki powder and serve this drink is usual served every where in Karnataka as Panaka during the summer season specially during the Sri Rama Navami distrubuted to people generously
the small bits of the melon crushed through the hand can be felt in your mouth while drinking
