Peanut Chaat Recipe-How to make Peanut Chaat (salad)

Peanut Chaat is a very delicious and healthy snack prepared with boiled peanuts and fresh vegetables. It is rich in protein and is a perfect tea time treat. Adults and kids alike will love this chaat. It is so easy to prepare 
and no doubt healthy also. Today we will learn how to prepare peanut chaat following this easy recipe.

Peanut Chaat Recipe

Prep time – under 15 mins
Cook time – under 15 mins
Serves -2

Ingredients needed 

Raw peanuts – 1 cup
Onion -1 medium size
Tomatoes – 1 de-seeded
Raw mango – 1/3 cup
Carrot – 1/4 cup grated finely
Green chillies -1 finely chopped

Spice powder

Red chilli powder -1/4
Roasted cumin/jeera powder -1/2 tsp (dry roast cumin seed and powder it finely)
Chaat masala –1/4 -1/2 tsp
Salt as needed

Fresh lemon juice to taste

For garnishing 

Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp finely chopped
Carrots grated finely – 1 tbsp

Preparation  

Soak peanuts overnight and pressure cook with little water and salt until soft. Leave it to cool.

Finely chop onions, tomatoes, green chillies and raw mangoes.

Method 

In a bowl combine together boiled peanuts, finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, mangoes, grated carrot and little salt. Remember we have cooked peanuts with salt, so add less salt.

Add chilli powder, roasted jeera powder, chaat masala and fresh lemon juice to taste. Toss well. (You can increase or decrease it according to your preferences)

Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and grated carrot.

This is a great tea time snack and also very healthy and delicious.
