Easy Savory French Toast Recipe-Indian Style

Savory French toast is quick, easy, delicious and needs very few ingredients. You can have it for breakfast or or enjoy it as a snack. Today we will learn how to make French Toast (savory version) Indian style following this easy recipe.

   Ingredients needed

   Bread slices – 4 (any bread)
   Egg – 2
   Milk – 1 tbsp
   Turmeric powder – a pinch
   Green chillies – 1 finely chopped
   Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
   Coriander leaves – 1-2 tbsp finely chopped
   Salt as needed
   Pepper powder

   Butter for toasting

Method

In a bowl, whisk eggs, turmeric powder and milk together. Add ginger-garlic paste, very finely chopped green chillies (or green chilli paste), coriander leaves, salt, pepper powder and mix well.

Cut the corners of the bread slices and cut into triangles.

Heat a tbsp of butter in a tawa over medium heat. Dip the bread slice (one at a time) in the egg mixture and let it soak for 6-7 seconds on each side. Drain off excess.

Savory French Toast Recipe

Place it on the heated tawa and fry both sides on medium heat with butter until golden brown. Repeat the same process for the rest of the bread.

Easy Savory French Toast

Serve hot immediately. It taste good as such but if preferred you have have it with tomato ketchup.
