Now let us prepare the stuffing

Heat a tbsp of oil, add jeera seeds, fennel seeds, when it splutters, add finely chopped onions and saute till they turn golden brown.

Then add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few more minutes. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and salt needed. Cook till the raw smell goes.

Remove from flame and let it cool.

Stuff the bitter gourd with the prepared masala well.

Take an idly pan or a steamer and steam the bitter gourds for a few minutes or till half cooked.

Now heat 2 tbsp of oil and fry the bitter gourd in low flame, tossing them in between, so they will get cooked and browned evenly.

Enjoy with hot rice or chapati

Note -You do not have to tie a thread around the bitter gourd as the masala will not come out.
