Mango Falooda Recipe-How to make Mango Falooda at Home

Mango Falooda is a very delicious, cold and rich layered dessert/beverage prepared with mangoes, milk, sabja seeds, falooda sev, assorted nuts and ice cream. It is very easy to make mango falooda at home. The taste of mango falooda is heavenly. Before the mango season ends, indulge in this rich dessert and enjoy. Learn how to make Mango Falooda at home following this very easy recipe.

   Ingredients needed

   Milk -1 1/2 cup
   Falooda Sev – 1 cup cooked
   Basil seeds/sabja seeds/tukmaria – 1/2 tbsp
   Chopped mangoes – 1 cup
   Mango Puree – 1 cup
   Sugar as needed
   Almonds – 10-12
   Pistachio – 10-12
   Cashew nuts -10-12
   Glazed cherry – 2 tbsp chopped
   Vanilla Ice cream – 2 generous scoops

Preparations 


Boil 1 1/2 cup milk on medium heat until it reduces to 1 cup. Add 3 tbsp sugar, cool and refrigerate. We need chilled milk.

Soak sabja seeds in 1/2 cup of water for 20 minutes. Strain water if any and keep it aside.

Chop mangoes into cubes.

We need 1 cup of mango puree also. Mix sugar with mango puree and refrigerate.

Prepare falooda sev as given in the Falooda Sev Recipe and keep it ready.

Dry roast almonds, pistachio and cashew nuts separately. Chop it and keep it aside.

Chop cherries. Set aside 2-3 whole cherries for garnishing.

Before layering, chill the glass in which you are going to serve mango falooda for 5 minutes in the refrigerator.

The preparations are done and everything is kept ready in the picture below.

Now we will start layering-

Layer the bottom of the glass with sweetened mango puree.

On top of it spread a layer of sabja seeds.

On top of the sabja seeds layer, spread a layer of falooda sev followed by a layer of mango pieces.

Then add chopped assorted nuts and cherries.

Now add the chilled sweetened milk.

Add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and tops it with nuts, cherries, and mango pieces.

Decorate it with a whole cherry and serve chilled. Enjoy!! Repeat the same for another glass of mango falooda.
